BIG BOY Haircut

Wednesday was a big day for Jaxon. Jeremy and I had talked about getting a "big boy" haircut for awhile and the discussion became more intense after we decided to save a buck and trim Jaxon's hair. It turned out okay, but it did start to resemble the old "bowl cut". I made a trip to Sports Clips with both kids. Initially, as we sat there and they attempted to pull things off the shelves I thought "we better go". I stuck it out and Jaxon ended up doing great and the three suckers that he had helped too. We finished the night off with a walk down to Marble Slab--which made the stress worth the wait!
He really looks cute and a little more mischevious (imagine that). Today at school I got all kinds of reactions. The only nonapproval I received was from his teacher whom I thought was going to cry when she saw him.
His red is gone and the blonde is here to stay!
Sniff Sniff, I do miss the strawberry blonde
How can you not smile?

Kennedy liked brothers new cut:)

This is what it looks like trying to get a photo of Kennedy and Jaxon together.

Entry of the Gladiators

Jaxon's teachers informed me that he would have a small part in the festival. I was eager to see his little part. The infants and wobblers were the "Gladiators"---don't they look so fierce?
My friend, Logan Carr

Jaxon jumped into PaPa's lap and start clapping, pointing, and signing more

"Grace Under the Big Top"

It was time for the big Grace Lutheran School fundraiser and Kennedy was so excited because her school dance class performed as the "Mean Ole Lions". Friday we packed up the car and headed to school for some entertainment, food, and fun. The performances always turn out so cute! It is amazing to watch all the work that has been put into our children's success. This is just another reassurance that we have our children in a wonderful place.
I would have to say that these lions look pretty cute...not so mean. I tried to video parts of the dance, but it didn't turn out. Kennedy did great and she amazed me in her little performance. All week we tried to get her to show us her dance, but never got the whole thing, just bits and pieces "We kick and sit on the bucket!"

Kennedy and Adelyn

She wasn't so fond of the feather mane around her face, but eventually forgot about it.

We ended up at daddy's game after the program. She loves playing on the field. She ended up leaving on her "ballerina" dress. We got a couple of photos from Ms. Sheri with her standing on 3rd in her tutu! There will be more pictures of the gladiator to come!

Sunday Lunch

We got to enjoy a weekend to ourselves without children. This is a rare thing!Jeremy and I got to eat out, get a pedicure, catch a movie, run errands, and just sit in front of the television. It was nice to get the kids back today and enjoy a long nap with Kennedy (which I normally don't do because we are taking advantage of time when they nap).

We met mom, dad, and grannie for lunch to get the kids. We enjoyed a nice lunch. I try to get a picture with Grannie whenever I can. Here is the newest! Thank you mom and dad for the weekend!!

And The Never-Ending Rides

The rides were a hit with this bunch! We enjoyed our time at the fair, however, we were ready to leave after 3 hours of fun:) We ended up meeting MaMa and PaPa at Lindsey Hafner's to end the night with a bonfire, great food, and great company! Jaxon is admiring the bonfire below.

Montgomery County Fair

This Saturday we headed to the fair with the Gary's. The kids enjoyed the petting zoo, pony rides, and the carnival rides. Kennedy normally loves the petting zoo but was not to fond of the Llama---she yelled at it "No, go away!!" Everyone looked laughing. Jaxon could have spent the entire night there.

Two of the Most Amazing People

Words cannot express the feelings of love, gratitude, and now sadness for our sweet neighbors Ray and Diane. I think I have posted this before, but if not, a reminder to all of you that have moved and still come back occassionally to check on their house. This weekend was a "check-in" for them and we sure were glad. Our children think they hung the moon next to their parents and grandparents of course:). Everytime they leave I still tear up. I think it finally set in this past week when we drove by their home and Kennedy says, "Mommy if Ray and Di don't live here then they can't play with me!!" No worries, we will visit and we want Ray and Di to know that no one can replace the special place they hold in our hearts. We want your house to sell, but not too quickly because we will miss the check-ins! All of our love to you!

Peek A Boo

The only time Jaxon is still is when is confined to his chair. It is so funny how our little people change. As a baby he was pretty laid back and would stay engaged with one thing that normally involved movement (so we should have known). Only those who have been around Jaxon lately know what we mean...the little guy never sits or walks, he runs everywhere and is into everything!

Happy 30th Shawn

I am only a week behind with the events of the Schramm Clan!!! Things have been busy with the normal events of the weekends-parties, outdoor activities, and catching up with friends. Last weekend we celebrated with Mr. Shawn and helped suprise him for his 30th bash. He was surprised and we enjoyed helping him celebrate!

These two are unseparable!! Kennedy and Cooper spend much of their play time together. I picture them as the "brother and sister" type one day defending each other and being there to support each other as friends. We are blessed to have Mr. Cooper in our lives!
