Day 1--HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

We made it!!! We flew into Orlando Thursday afternoon and our 1st flying experience with the kiddos went good. I say that.....I sat with Kennedy and Jeremy sat with Jaxon at the back of the plane. Jaxon reported "that he was good!"

We spent our first day at Hollywood Studios. Our favorite ride was Toy Story Mania and Star Wars. The kids met TONS of characters, many of which didn't make the post. We enjoyed this park and had lunch at "Pizza Planet" just in time to head back for naps gearing up for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade.

We Are Going to Disney

The video does not really capture their excitement......"There are like--yes mom and dad it is a shirt!!!"

Many of you have seen the videos, pictures, and have heard all about our Disney trip.  I am finally getting around to blogging some memories and will save the 350 pictures for our scrapbook. To say that the trip was memorable, awesome, and magical does not do it justice.  The ability to surprise the kids and enjoy the trip as a family was simply incredible. Yes we got tired and maybe needed a strong beverage occasionally, however it was all worth every smile, tear, hand-shake from Mickey, and hug from Kennedy and Jaxon.

A Game of Spoons
We had so much fun!!

I love this time of year....holiday gatherings, family, good food, and fellowship. We got back into town Wednesday night just in time to get things ready for Thanksgiving. Thursday we went to Houston to celebrate at Renee and Steven's house and then headed to Brenham Saturday to conclude our Thanksgiving festivities. We are thankful!!!

How Did I Forget These??

Pitiful right?!?!? One week ago Sunday Jaxon fell off our kitchen table bench and the bench fell right on his foot. We had instant swelling, inability to bear weight, and one pitiful baby boy!! We took him to the doctor and they had to poke two holes in his nail bed to drain it and luckily his x-ray came back fracture free! With two days off school and Granny and PoPo's tender loving care he has mended his way back to health and just in time for our trip!! He is still trying to milk his injury. His response to any request made--Jaxon put up your sword, come sit at the table, time to go---"Mommy I can't walk my foot is hurt!"

SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get any ideas with the "SURPRISE"......no news except that we are taking the kids on a surprise trip to DISNEY WORLD!!!!! Can you tell that mommy is a bit excited!?!?

The kids are at the perfect ages for a first trip to Disney and so we decided to take full advantage of the school calendar of being off next week. We will pick the kids up from school Thursday before lunch and surprise them with the news. They will be tickled pink about Disney and flying on an airplane since neither has flown before. We will update you on our adventure when we return next week!!

Canvas and Cabernet

Happy Birthday to the Trio:)

Every year we celebrate a group of my friends birthdays. It makes for a great excuse to have needed "girl" time and to just relax. We celebrated the trio's birthday--Tiffani, Mendy, and my birthday this past weekend. Happy Birthday Ladies:)---I welcome 35! I welcome it now because I have too but have really had an internal struggle with getting closer to 40. I have learned through years that it is mind over matter and that health and happiness go along way! So here is to 35!!!

"3 Goalies"

"I scored 3 goalies!!!" Jaxon ended his soccer season on a great note----he scored not 1 but 3 goals!!! The first time he scored it was as if he was in a dream looking at his face....that's what you do! At home the boy is a powerhouse and goes to the goal full-force.  You put 5 other kids on the field....some crying, running, laying down, and you get a little bit of mass chaos. He was so pumped and after the first goal he went straight for 2 and 3. We are a bit sad the season is over when he has finally got a taste of it!! Oh well...we will be playing again next year!! Way to go #8!!
