We are blessed!

Floating

The  river was flowing this year which lent to many hours on the river. We managed to pack up 25 tubes and make a 3-hour am float daily. This year we also got in two afternoon floats, one with the "cousins" which equals the cousins and significant others, and the other was an all girl float.  Many fun memories were made! We are truly blessed by family and all the challenges and bonuses that come with it!

Our volleyball games get a little too competitive:):) ----however it  is all fun and games  in the end!  We played a few games and split up Maurers vs. Significant Others. From the pictures it seems the Maurers' did alot of winning, however, I think we came out even in the end. Not only did we enjoy volleyball but the late nighters enjoyed some good games of Pitch until the early morning hours. 

Frio 2012

The annual Maurer family trip was fast, fun-filled, and packed with memories as always.  This year we stayed in a different location, Margaritaville Villa, which was perfect for our clan!  We enjoyed sand volleyball, floating the river, pool time, and just hanging out.

Celebrating 11 Years

July 21, 2001, we said, "I do"--the best words we ever spoke. What's even harder to imagine is that we have officially dated and have been a couple since 1993! Through the years we have built a relationship based on love, friendship, God, and have been blessed with an amazing family! God has truly blessed us! Happy Anniversary to "my honey", my best friend, and the man that makes my world go round!

Circus 2012

We headed to the Barnum Bailey Circus this past weekend---thanks to MaMa and PaPa for the tickets. The kids had a blast. We arrived early to watch the pre-show which included seeing the animals, watching the clowns perform, and they even had an elephant that painted!!  The circus is always fun and it is the "greatest show on earth!"

L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort

Last week we had a small get away with our good friends! We have made this an  annual trip and we welcomed year number 3! It is a fun time--floating the lazy river, shopping, gambling, and adult time! We look forward to next year! The kids enjoyed time with their cousins and a fun time was had by all!

House Progress

August 2011

Our yard has begun its transformation over the past year thanks to my  hubby.  He has had dirt brought in, had grass, dug out flower beds, laid bull rock, and we finished this past weekend with the planting 90 plants. We still have a couple more things to complete the front beds but they are almost done!
