The Game

We got home Thursday from Thanksgiving and put on PJ's and the UT vs. A&M game. These photos are priceless. No one can get Jaxon to laugh the way his sister can. She kept running from our room to the bathroom and he would laugh and laugh....I love these moments. Almost as sweet as to see her holding his hand in the back seat making him laugh or just being sweet.

Thanksgiving 2009

Our Thanksgiving festivities were fun and relaxing. We began the celebrations last weekend at Granny and PoPo's. On Thanksgiving day we headed to Houston to celebrate with family and ended the feast Friday at Mom and Dad's. Here are LOTS of pictures from all the fun.
Jaxon, Po Po, and Kennedy

Happy Thanksgiving from the Pilgrim and Indian

The kids have been learning about Thanksgiving and its meaning. I happened to stop by the school yesterday to run in some forgotten items and the kids where in chapel talking about blessings. Blessings that the kids blurted out where, "mommies and daddies, cookies, brothers, sisters, and puppies...." I walked out with a huge smile on my face. Beyond the educational curriculum I am so excited about the social and moral lessons the kiddos are learning. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!! We love you and are so thankful for you!

Does it have to stay on the table?

Kennedy loves playing in shaving cream. She practices writing her letters, shapes, etc....and when she has had enough of that this is what happens......

Officially out of the Closet

Only a select few had insight into the sleeping arrangements of our son---Jaxon is officially in his bed. Jaxon was such a great sleeper and in a comfortable place that we didn't move him to his bed until 4 months. Well, 4 months for our children signifies the beginning of teething. As Jaxon began this we went back and forth between his bed and his bassinet. One reason I post this now is I didn't want to jinx his transition back to his bed and because it all makes me laugh with Kennedy's conversation recently.

Whenever she gets up and Jaxon is not up she questions were he is....a couple of weeks ago, I told her Jaxon was sleeping.....and she says..."in the closet" and went to find him there. I can only imagine the looks she has gotten in school when this conversation has come up....

Funny Conversations

Over the past two months Kennedy has grown in so many areas--socially, emotionally, and academically--(the OT is coming out:)..sorry...so amazing to watch! Anyways, we were at the kitchen table when her meatball fell on the floor and Sadie jumped on the chance for some dinner. Kennedy looks at us and says can "we pray for God to take the meatball out of Sadie's tummy cause I really want it back". So we prayed for meatballs to return....and didn't discuss the other way in which they return:)

The next day Jeremy was taking the kids to school and Kennedy yells at him to drive "FAST" go pass the grey truck....it is the truck that ran over Rosco", Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Doug's dog. At Halloween she was told he was sadly run over and she has not let this go. She is adament to find the "truck" that did hurt Rosco and still prays for him at night.

This little girl has one big heart and the memory of an elephant!

Little Flirt

I love this photo, a new favorite
Check out the hair

Jaxon has learned how the bat of an eye can get him things. Has has also gotten very independent, as so did Kennedy once she could get around too. We can still get cuddle time if we sneak it in when he goes down for a nap. Check out the red hair--he has more red than Kennedy ever had.

Happy Birthday MacKenzie

This weekend was lots of fun! We began Saturday with a baby shower at our house for a friend of mine packed up and headed to Brenham to celebrate with MacKenzie on her birthday. She as you can tell had a great time and is a beautiful girl. Kennedy calls her "My Kenzie"

Jaxon and Kelcie
Kelcie is one of Jaxon' s baptismal sponsors

Uncle Doug, Colt, and Jaxon
The boys have seen more of each other lately and are playing together
as well as 8 month olds do:)
When I watch them it is a reminder of what it would be like to have twins!

Kennedy's Buddy

We have been blessed with great neighbors. Being an hour from family sometimes can be difficult, but God has blessed with an abundance of friends and "family" here. This past week was Ray's birthday and Kennedy had to pick Ray a big cake. I questioned pink but let her go with it.
If you want to meet two amazing people take a walk two houses down from ours.
Ray and Diane you are amazing!

8 months ALREADY

Our baby boy is 8 months old today. It is hard to imagine that he has been in our lives for this long and what a blessing he has been. Due to lack of "free" time I have given up scrapbooking for now and I am using the blog as a way to track events in our lives, especially our children's lives.

Things About Jaxon
  • You have the prettiest blue eyes and you get compliments all the time...just yesterday someone commented "He is beautiful"
  • You are crawling and cruising everywhere and on everything--You got a big bruise on your forehead to prove it.
  • You love secrets whispered in your ear
  • You favorite sounds are "ba, ba"/ growling and your favorite things are anything you can put in your mouth, bang, or includes sister's hair
  • We just discovered you have a faint birthmark on your left shin (just discovered doesn't sound so great, but it seems to just have appeared or we are really not observant)
  • Watch out--three teeth and three coming in
  • AND you love to give kisses and you know what that means when mommy and daddy ask for kisses
  • Your name means "leader", as for now you have a sweet, inquisitive personality and you know what you want
  • You are an amazing little boy!!!!! We love you!!!

But Jaxon is my Baby!!!

Kennedy playing "Baby" with Jaxon. She attempted to wrap him up multiple times. It did work on the first attempt. Doesn't he look thrilled?
Attempt # 2, he has finally got away from little momma

Kennedy finally gave up and she settled for laying Sadie down for nap...she sits still:)

32....

Today we celebrated Mommy's BIG 32!!! The weekend started out routine, we headed to the football game and then Saturday we got to have a birthday dinner with Grannie and PoPo. We headed to Chuy's (yum) and the fun began. Last week Kennedy was ill and we kept the sanitizer going, however, I guess it was not enough. Jaxon got sick at the resturant and it carried over to today. Jeremy and I laugh about just wearing trash bags to keep us clean..the poor kid has been sick now 6 times as I type this and a record in the number of baths for all of us. All that to say, my 32nd was spent doing what I love most in my life..being a mom and a wife. I could pass on the puke, but not on the big blue eyes gazing into mine and that warm sweet head on my shoulder. We shall reschedule birthday dinner and a movie until next weekend. Thank you for the sweet texts and calls and sorry for the lack of returns on my end...you can see why now. Happy Monday!

Tinker Bell and Peter Pan

It was pretty easy picking out costumes this year. Kennedy got this dress-up Tinker Bell outfit for her birthday--perfect! One character missing.....Peter Pan. Both kids were troopers and Kennedy liked trick-or-treating. We kept it simple and made rounds to family and ended in town at Aunt Beth and Uncle Jonathan's for pizza and playing.

Road Side Service

These pictures were taken at the end of the night! The girls "categorizing" their candy and of course little miss tinker bell fell right into suit.

Trick-or-Treating in Class....or a hint to mommy and daddy enough!!
Thank you Tatum and Kendall!!!

Family

And they go on....

These photos are in no particular order....we ended at Uncle Jonathan' s and Aunt Beth's Halloween evening and made a run to a couple of houses and had pizza. Kennedy had so MUCH CANDY!!!

Talk about FUN...kids first trip to the firestation
What a fun Halloween, getting to see Uncle Doug and trick-or-treat at the station:)

Sorry Kelcie!
