Daddy and Jaxon went to the Astros game for Little League Day. Jaxon got to participate in a parade and high-fived the Cleveland Indians pitcher. He had a ball!!

Put Jaxon in front of any crowd and he is a performer. He LOVES to make people laugh and to entertain. He had he school festival Friday and we got to enjoy children tumbling, dancing and were able to see Christ love abound watching these little ones. 

Big News--Softball ALL-STAR

Kennedy was nominated and selected for All-Stars this past weekend!! We are so proud of her hard work and she is very excited to be playing more softball. 20 girls of about 55 were selected to play and she will be playing on Team Lightning. So if you want to find us the next four weekends we will be at the ball field. She will play in Tomball, Humble, Conroe, Texas City and a few other places.

Kindergarten Field Trip--P-6 Farms

Talk about fun..........these Kindergartners know how to have it. We went to P-6 Farms this past week for their field trip. They got to jump on a huge pillow-trampoline, pick strawberries, ride on a tractor, enjoy a picnic and just play outdoors.  This Momma was worn out after all the fun!

This past week Jamie, Kelcie and Dorothy came to watch the kiddos play some baseball/softball. Kennedy contemplated running off the field during the game to hug Jamie's neck. We were so happy to have them there!!

A Special Fan

This little boy was soooo excited to have Jamie, Kelcie and Aunt Dorothy at his game

Jaxon is still going strong.......so what's new?!? He had a special visit last week when Jamie, Kelcie and Aunt Dorothy came to cheer him on. Excited was not even the word to describe his little face when he saw them. Kelcie had sent me a text that they were going to come up and once I told him he never stopped talking. His last request before we got out of the car was, "Does Kelcie do play-dates at her house?" He was ready to go home with her after the game.  And he was very concerned about how Jamie got here and where Kyle was. I am so thankful for our family's support. At times, it is hard not living where all our family is. Thank you for your special visit and for making this little man's day!!!

Momma's New Ride

Yes we just got a "new car" about 3 months ago. Long story-VERY SHORT--we traded it in and got 2013 Chevy Transverse. I LOVE it! I have enjoyed the third seat and like the safety features and presence it has on the road. The kids LOVE it as well and they really like being able to sit in the 3rd seat.

Fan Club Favorites

This bombshell has got skill and that folks she gets from her DADDY. Kennedy has played t-ball co-ed for the past 2 years and this year we stepped up to coach pitch softball. The girls started off getting 5 total pitches and mid-season they went to ball-strike count. 

Kennedy is the lead-off hitter and she is solid getting a hit pretty much every time she steps to the plate. She is a scrappy player and hits short and flies to first or hits a line drive. Defensively she is known for her double play capabilities. She normally plays short-right at the pitchers mound and is quick to tag the runner headed to 1st and then  she heads home or to second for out two.

Our last game is tonight and she has had a great season. As a mom and my lack of knowledge of softball  I am SO PROUD of her--I guess all these years of watching Bear baseball has paid off. She was nominated for the All-Star draft which is an accomplishment in itself.  We LOVE you and are so PROUD of your hard work.

The Maurer family always  knows how to have a good time. We  were missing a  few  family members and we always think of them when they are not here. Easter, as is every holiday, a  reminder of the "gift" of family. We all have our separate lives and live in separate towns and even in other states, but when we are together we are F-A-M-I-L-Y.
