Thank Maurer Party of Five for a great Sunday! We look forward to it yearly and the kids can tell me every last detail from last year, so I am sure this year's memories will be the same. Family and friend time not to ever be missed, even it is means hitting the pillow at 9:00 on a school night!

1st Friend Sleep Over

Kennedy had her first friend sleep over this past week Thursday.....one benefit to mommy being off Fridays and to TK. The girls did well together and had lots of fun! They played dress-up, make-up, played pretend Fancy Nancy spa narrated by daddy himself, and stayed up giggling in the dark until 10:30!

Thanks for spending the night Brooklyn! Kennedy had so much fun!

We Love You!

Granny and PoPo made a special trip to town last week and picked the kids up from school. They brought new books and toys for the kids to play with....we now have new sleeping buddies!

Night-Night Routine

You gotta love this little boy! He is very easy to put to sleep and sleeps through almost anything.  For months Daddy has put Jaxon to sleep and now he has changed partly because mommy is small enough to fit in his toddler bed. It is a sight to see! We rock, read books, and then he lays down with "Mommy lay you me" aka Mommy lay with me.  He gets patted for a couple of minutes, prayer time comes, and then I am out the door with "Sweet dreams, I love you!"

He has started some "new" funny things when he gets into bed....he has been telling me his blankie hurts him, he pulls it off, hold his feet up for kisses and then rolls to his tummy! Crazy silly boy! We love you!

Remember these? I had one and Kennedy got an Easy Bake oven for her birthday from Abby and AJ! She has been busy in the kitchen!

Peaceful Weekend

With soccer and football season in full swing our  weekends consist of games and then rest after being in the heat. This weekend was a little different and a treat in my books. MaMa and PaPa came up to watch Kennedy's soccer game and then took the kids to Brenham for the weekend.

What did Jeremy and I do with our free time?!?! We actually did the things we haven't gotten to do with the kids around....move bull rock and make garage sale itmes and toys. We did manage to sneak in a special dinner and then sleep in until 9 which was a treat in and of itself.

The kids on the other hand, enjoyed the pumpkin patch, church, and playing in the country. It is a real treat to help PaPa with his chickens and the kids love to sleep with their grandparents- Jaxon and PaPa and Kennedy and MaMa. Dad has a story to tell about his night with Jaxon:). It is a joy to watch Kennedy and Jaxon's face light up when they see any of their grandparents!

Did I mention that brother Jaxon and brother Logan like soccer too?? Between eating popcorn, attempts to help the team, and just being boys, we had a busy Saturday. It will be fun when these two get in on the action.....which could be this spring!!

Kennedy was completely zonked!

Kennedy had her first soccer game last Saturday and I can say she had fun but was ready for it to end. It was close to 90 degrees with an hour of running. She got to play goalie for the 1st half and learned that she could use her hands......"but didn't you guys just say I CAN'T use my hands?!?"

At one point, she runs to us on the sideline and says, "it is hot and I am sweaty, I think I can just sit....that's fine!" This coming from our girl who would prefer to not wear dresses and plays bad guy with the boys at school because she reports she is soooooo fast!!

We enjoyed our 1st soccer game this season and Kennedy is already learning more about the game and is progressing her skills practice to practice. We have a double-header Saturday, let's just say this should be interesting with a bunch of 5-year-olds.

Last week Friday we had a visit from some of our oldest friends that we met when we started coaching. Lana and I laugh when we hear Chris and Jeremy start talking....."remember when". Here is to almost 11 years of friendship, tired of us yet? We love you guys!

Rocky IV

I am not sure how many Rocky movies there are but Jaxon made the hit list last week. I came home after work and learned later that minutes before I drove up little man made a wrong turn on his tricycle and head butted the stone column on the front porch. He looks proud, right?
