No Mother's Day weekend is complete without the Maifest. The Maifest is a german festival that is held in May and entails costumes, lots of good german food, music, and drinks. We continue to return to Brenham each year to watch our cousins participate in the morning parade. It is always a very nice but rushed trip--Mother's day weekend also entails the first weekend of baseball play-offs. Kennedy and I returned to Brenham at 1 am Thursday after a baseball game outside of Austin, laid down for a rest, and then re-grouped to head the parade Friday morning.
