We are Tired...
The kids were tired after the many road trips this weekend. This first photo was of Jaxon after his second wind Thursday night! He had has laughing in the car. He reminded me of Kennedy in this picture as a baby, she loved to assume this position with her legs and would laugh and laugh.
We made it to Conroe and the kids awoke from the El Campo drive. We stopped and got haircuts for Daddy and Jaxon. Jeremy ended up going to Target and bought some clippers for Jaxon's next hair cut. He has taken matters into his own hands after he saw how they cut his hair. We got back to the house, enjoyed our first dip in the pool, Jaxon chowed down on some oreos, and we headed to our neighbors for a great dinner!

Mason's 4th Birthday
We love our Daddy!! Kennedy would say "I love you this much" with her hands outstretched and Jaxon would blow the wettest kiss to describe his love for his Daddy!
Can you believe our babies are turning 4? When Mason's birthday comes around I have a bitter sweet feeling. His birthday is the first of the crew and signifies that our babies are growing older. He had a great birthday and the kids loved the museum. We formally got to meet and "Mason's babies" known by Kennedy, Hudson and Carson. Welcome to the family little ones!

Poor Guy
I am glad we added boths kids to Jeremy's dental plan. He has taken 4 hits to the face in the past hour. 4 hits= remote to head, door to the head, fall x 2 with the second being a face plant with a direct hit to the nose. Jaxon had his first nose bleed and not a minor one. I am seeing future visits to the ER---pray not though! Poor guy~ thank goodness for Boo Boo Bear!

I Did It
Kennedy is so excited about learning to tie her shoes and our next purchase will be "big girl" shoes. It is fun to watch her succeed and get so excited about it! This isn't a normal "kid toy"...the perks of being an occupational therapist. Kennedy found the board and I explained what it was for and she wanted to learn.

Each night we sit at Kennedy's bedside and pray together or do a follow along prayer in which Jeremy or I says something and then Kennedy repeats it. This was her leading the prayer and mommy following along.

America's Favorite Past Time
We are lucky to enjoy one of "America's Favorite" past times January-May each year. I never grew up playing softball, but enjoyed the years cheering and watching Jeremy play and now enjoy watching his team play. The game itself is great to watch and I find myself much more into it with Jeremy coaching. Kennedy would say the perks to daddy coaching the Bears with "Coach" (aka Chris Morris:) is first dibs to field access, front-row seating, dragging the field, cheering for the Bears, and eating lots of junk food to include peanuts, candy, and nachos. This past weekend we ended our play-off journey and had two very long nights getting to bed at 1am, but it was all worth it to support our team and our husband/daddy. We are blessed to be apart of the Bear Baseball family and have loved every minute of it.

14 Months!?!?!
Here is the updated photo of sleeping baby boy--big boy Jaxon! I cannot believe that he is 14 months and I am struggling even more with the thought of Kennedy turning 4 in a couple of months.
Jaxon is learning to use his voice and is saying-Mommy, Daddy, pup-pup (puppy), bye-bye, blows kisses, and babbles and yells frequently:) He is a go-getter in the biggest sense and doesn't meet a stranger. Jaxon loves to tease, however, you have to earn holding time with him. He may tease you, but doesn't intend on getting into your arms if mommy, daddy, or someone he is really fond of is in the room. Spend a little one on one time and you have met your best friend. Did I mention he never sits still---welcome to the world of a boy!

Happy Mother' s Day
Where do I begin on such a special day? We have been blessed by so many amazing women in our lives and three in particular MaMa, Granny, and Grannie Maurer. Each of them has taught me how to teach my children, to live and love, and to pursue what is right and true in my journey as a mother. They all have been so amazing in their love of family and giving of themselves.
One of the most amazing blessing that God has given me is the gift of being a mother and wife. Some of my favorite things about being a mom: watching my children grow, Jaxon's open-mouth slober kisses, Kennedy's grab my cheeks with both hands sweet kisses, being called "mom", an extra little warm body in bed early in the morning, meal times at the kitchen table, watching my children pray, laughter, unconditional love, an added reason to get ice cream or get my toes done (thanks Kennedy), always being needed, kissing bo-bo's, buying barbie band-aids, bedtime reading, singing to children's songs, playing outdoors, extra hugs and I love you's being called from the back seat. Thank you Lord for the amazing mother's that have blessed our lives, for my own amazing mother, and for the two biggest blessing in my life-Kennedy and Jaxon.
Not only does Mother's Day weekend encompass the Maifest, it also means great times with family. We celebrated Saturday at Great-Grannie Maurer's. It was great weather to sit outside and enjoy each other's company. Sunday we headed to College Station for lunch with Grannie, PoPo, Uncle Jonathan, Aunt Beth, and the girls. We enjoyed lunch out and ended a great weekend.
