The week of Thanksgiving we had our first family trip to the deer lease. The kids were ECSTATIC!!! The Saturday early morning rise at 5:30 am was no problem for this guys, in fact they were up before 5:30 am! They truly roughed it....ipads and all in the deer stand:). After about an hour in the stand they got their first deer. Jeremy said the deer in the area must be deaf. As he stepped out to make the shot the kids were yelling, "Shoot it, shoot it!" Needless to say they were hooked on hunting after that day. We filled our weekend with good food, time with good friends, a mommy trip to the winery and some good old scavenger hunts....my kind of weekend.
