Grannie Maurer has taught us about life, love and the true meaning of Christmas. My fondest memories include our family celebrating Christmas at Grannie and Grandpa's house. These two people embody the word love. It was such a wonderful thing that we all came together to carol for Grannie. She joined in her favorites--Silent Night and Away in the Manger. I had to wipe tears away watching her and I felt so at peace at that very moment.
