As we drove home from the theater last night we discussed "thankfulness" and the things that we as a family are thankful for. We are thankful first and foremost (listed by both Kennedy and Jaxon) for God and Jesus. Without his love, mercy and provision our life would be meaningless. We are thankful for our family and and friends that love and support us. We are thankful for health and LIFE. There are so many things to be thankful for and these are just naming a few. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Pen Pals
Cousin Jamie and Kennedy are pen pals:)). In one of their many phone conversations Jamie brought up being pen pals since they live far from each other. I had to explain what a pen pal was and after the explanation Kennedy was on board. They have written about three letters back and forth and each time a letter comes in the mail Kennedy is ripping it open.
In the most recent letter this week Jamie sent Kennedy some snow and the American Girl catalog she gets. Kennedy immediately opened the bag and ran her fingers through the condensation that was left--snow didn't make it here but she was so excited!!! Each AG catalog she gets she browses through them and stashes them in her bedside table. I love to hear her and Jamie talk on the phone...really I just hear Kennedy's conversation. Kennedy took the phone to my room and talked for almost 20 minutes the last time Jamie called. Jamie we are so blessed to have you in our lives and Kennedy is so BLESSED to have you her baptismal sponsor and Godparent. You brighten her day all the time!

A Week Off
We are all off this week as a family---Yay!!! The kids are ecstatic and so are we. We have some small family outings planned but the main events of the week will be spent just hanging out drinking hot chocolate, watching Christmas movies and playing outside.
I am so happy to be at week 34 of our pregnancy---1st to be off and rest and I am feeling a rush of emotions so time with the kids is much needed. When we found out we were having twins I cried in astonishment. Since then with the exception of Grants growth concerns things have been pretty steady and uneventful. This past week my emotions rushed back again--with tears flowing due to anxiety, lack of sleep and worry about being a good mom to all 4 kids. In all of my days of "Thankfulness" I am so thankful for my husband and family and for this week of being at home.

Our Team is RED HOT
Fall ball is officially over. Kennedy had a great season! It is still hard for me to think that she done coach pitch for the past two seasons. The little kids amaze me! She started at second and was ace at the plate batting .778 for the season. Now we get a break until February:))

Baby Update
The babies are growing and the doctors seem pleased with all reports. We have been going weekly to the doctor since week 29 to monitor Grants growth. This past week at 31 weeks the boys weighed 2 pounds 15 ounces (Grant) and 3 pounds 15 ounces (Carter). We now start biweekly appointments this next week to continue to monitor growth and to do fetal stress monitoring. My doctor measured me at last appointment and at 31 weeks I am measuring 40 weeks for a single birth--so my baby bump is quite large and in charge!
Good News--our surgery date is scheduled for December 9th which puts us at 36 weeks to the day. We are so excited that the end is near. The kids are so excited too! We are keeping the delivery date a secret to surprise them--they will be in school that day and wouldn't be able to sit still for a minute knowing their little brothers were coming.
We will keep you posted as the weeks fly by. We are officially 32 weeks and have 4 more weeks to go until we meet Grant Thomas and Carter James. Thank you for the prayers!

Family
Our family is only an hour away or a 45 minute drive on a good day....sadly sometimes the drive is too far with schedules and other events. When we moved away from "home" we thought we would return one day but at this point in our lives I can say that we are here to stay.
Most of these women I have known for 8 years and they are family. We don't just sit together at games....from these women I have gained support in raising children, learned the in and outs of being a coaches wife in all its glory and struggles, learned about true friendship, and have learned they are pretty talented and can play the role of sister, mother or any person I need for that hour or minute. We spend many hours together and I am thankful for each of them. Grant and Carter will soon join the "coaching family"--get ready for a fun ride boys!
