Saturday Kennedy's team had a double-headed....and a cheering section came. Kennedy was so excited to have MaMa and PaPa at the game. We enjoyed lunch together and got to hang out a while. So blessed by our parents...wish saw them even more than what we already do!

Raising Children
Raising children is the most rewarding and most challenging thing we will ever do. Jeremy and I have worked overtime to instill in our children values that we feel are important. First and foremost, we want them to love and know God, treat others as they want to be treated, and to be themselves. Doesn't that sound easy?!?
To help steer our children in the right direction we said "yes" when we were asked to teach K-2 Sunday School at our church. I was asked to be the teacher and we needed a co-teacher and Jeremy stepped into place. Yes, when I feel we might be close to busting at the seams, I look at my children' s faces and know we are doing the right thing. Jeremy and I both grew up in Sunday School and we want the same for Kennedy and Jaxon. Not to mention it was fun making "God Helper" hats of construction paper, stickers, and feathers to coincide with our story of Jonah talking about how he helped God. A Saturday or Sunday sleep in sounds so good, but we can do that when they go to college.

Super Coop Turns 4
Our last party was Super Cooper's! It hard to believe that he turned 4 and that his new baby sister, Petyon will be here Feb 10th! I remember hauling Jaxon's baby stuff over the Gary's when he was probably about 6 months old. This crew is definitely cream of the crop when it comes to friends!
Cooper celebrated in style and everyone came as their favorite super hero. I made Kennedy and Jaxon's cape, suprising myself, and I failed to get any pictures of them dressed up! The party was a huge hit and lots of fun! Happy birthday sweet boy, we love you!

Party # 2
Kylee and Kennedy |
I know that I have mentioned our neighbors before......and if you need a reminder they are awesome! Our neighbors, Carrie, Dean, Jaxon, and Kylee are "true neighbors". They are not the neighbors that shut their door and don't come out. We have enjoyed many play dates, weenie roasts, neighborly favors, and just knowing that our kids will grow up together is a blessing. Kylee is the same age as Kennedy so these girls enjoy playing all kinds of fun things, particularly make-up:)! Kylee celebrated her 5th birthday Saturday at gymnastics and it was lots of fun! Even little man particpated and he thought that was the coolest thing ever!
Party Central
Saturday the Schramm Clan had not one but three parties to attend. It was fun, however, I can say we may not do that again. The kids did have a blast and our first party stop was ice skating!!! How fun!

Go Rockets
Saturday was our start of basketball! Jeremy has taken Kennedy to her weekly practice and so it was my first time to see her in action. She did well and enjoyed playing the game, learning the in and outs of offense and defense. We are the Rockets and she is playing with her same friends she started with two years ago. It is so much fun to watch them grow!

Happy Birthday Daddy
Today we celebrate one special man in our lives.....daddy! Jeremy turns 34 today and not one day passes that I don't thank God for him. He is one amazing dad. Jaxon is his right hand man and daddy is the one who rocks and reads to him each night. Kennedy couldn't wait until daddy's birthday asking each day. She had his card colored and made a week ago and hid it secretly under her bed. Let's just say she is "daddy's princess"!
Today is the day we celebrate you honey! I thank you for 18 years amazing years together and I can say you are my best friend and you are an amazing dad! He enjoyed the things he loves best today...... his family, chinese food:), and some special treats!

Tooth Fairy Visit # 2
The tooth fairy made another special trip to our house this past Friday night. Kennedy has had her 2nd loose tooth to our dismay and it was pulled easily. She still would rather us pull it and mommy got to do the honors this time. She is brave, no tears shed yet, just mere excitement.
I was thrown "off" this week when at gymnastics I got an extra glimpse of white in her mouth. The extra white was her adult tooth pushing into place were tooth #1 was and an adult tooth making its way behind the tooth that came out tonight. Of course when I went to wiggle tooth #2 it was loose then and on its way out.
Kennedy is sooooooo excited to be loosing teeth. We are excited too, but I think the orthodontist will love us one day. Not only does she have 2 adult teeth coming in, she has her adult molar coming in as well on the right side. They always say teething and emerging adult teeth follow a similar pattern of a child's parents, however, we haven't heard any stories about our teeth at 5. Welcome toothfairy and years of giving!

No Longer.......
2012 is in full swing and the low-key weekends are no longer. The calendar is filling up quickly which is a good and bad thing. Kennedy is playing spring basketball which starts this Saturday and will last for 6 more Saturday mornings, Jeremy starts his season at the end of January, and well Jaxon and I are along for the ride. Jaxon is in a gymnastics class at school and loves it. Kennedy is still loving gymnastics and dance. Watching the kids in their various activities is so fun!!
Kennedy is doing outstanding in school. Her reading has progressed beyond short vowels to long vowels and double vowels which has slowed her speed of reading but she is able to read more complex books and some of her favorite Fancy Nancy books. Her class has been having Fast Facts quizzes to include 0, 1, and 2 families and she has been in the top 3 which is pretty amazing. She will be more than prepared for public Kindergarten and will more than likely been enrolled in a dual-language program learning Spanish.
Jaxon is taking potty training by the reins and is doing well for the most part. He is getting ready to move up to a new class. He is the social butterfly of the bunch and says hello to everyone he passes. Some who know him well outside of school may question the "social butterfly" but at school he is quite the charmer....watch out ladies.
So as far as 2012, we are starting off with a bang and ready for all the successes and challenges that it may bring. The calendar is full and there are many memories to be made!

I Ask Jesus
Our kids always seem to amaze us. On our trip home we talk about their days and what happened at school. I always have a special little snack packed to hold them over until dinner. On our way home, I realized that I had forgotten that special snack and poor Jaxon really looks forward to it....it is routine and what he likes. When I was unable to produce a snack the tears started and he kept repeating the same phrase over and over....which I couldn't hear in between the crying. Finally, Kennedy interprets his phrase for me...."Mom, he is saying he will ask the Bible and Jesus...."I ask Jesus". I guess since I couldn't produce snacks he was going to ask the one who knows all! It may not be the most appropriate request but it was a memorable one.

Friends and Floats
With Daddy enjoying a well-deserved guy weekend, we took advantage of a rather low-key weekend ourselves. Kennedy went to a friends house Friday and had her first "friend" sleepover away from home. She loves Brooklyn and they had a great time together. The sleepover was a success and since she was gone Jaxon and I got to spend some special time together. It was a real treat for him because he got to sleep in mommy's bed:) meaning mommy didn't sleep at all, but that's okay!
We had a birthday party Saturday and then enjoyed "Friends and Floats". Kennedy, Bella, Jaxon, Cameron, and Izzac played while Tiff and I hung out. The weekend ended with a proud mommy moment....I have had to take the kids to church twice without Jeremy when he has had a conference or something and the kids sat like little angels while I read the lesson and they were amazing in church. It may never happen again, but it was good while it lasted.
Jeremy made it home Sunday after enjoying the SHSU game in Frisco, sad the Kats lost but he had a great time!
