This week at school Kennedy's class studied the letter "P". Friday fun day was all about the letter "P". The kids wore pj's to school, had a picnic, ate foods that start with P, and so on. Needless to say staying home with mom on Friday was not so appealing. I am finally back into the old routine of having Friday's off which is so nice! I want to keep Kennedy and Jaxon at home with me as much as possible because one day soon they will have to be in school every day. It is hard to imagine that Jaxon will be two in a couple of months and Kennedy will be 5!!!

More House
We finally got to say a thank you to everyone who was able to help us move....appreciative does not even been to express our gratitude. This is the house progress since my last posting. It is moving quickly! They began framing January 3 and this is the progress since then. They will begin work on the hardiplank and metal roof this week!

PP in the Potty
I hear that song in my head...can't you hear the tune?? Jaxon has gone pee in the potty three times now with the most success consistently before his shower. He is a bit proud and loves to earn Mickey Mouse stickers for his accomplishment. He does however like the boy pee guard. It ends up on the ground as he says "ouch" which means we have pee on the floor..oh well!! He went potty by himself Jan 19th (my reminder in the future when I want to put it in his baby book).

Weekend of Birthdays!!!
This weekend was CRAZY if I might say so. So we started off Friday with Kennedy's 1st basketball game and then drove to the Woodlands at 7 pm for KK's party. We got home at 10 and then Saturday Jaxon and I headed to El Campo with the help of MaMa and PaPa and Jeremy took Kennedy to a friend's cheerleading party here. Lots of fun but we were a bit tired!!!

First Basketball Game
We had our first basketball game Friday night (smile). It is so fun watching the kids at this age. The girls grab the ball and run no dribble involved and then the little boys are holding their fingers up to call the play and taking it down court. Kennedy is learning about the game of basketball....what is actually means to dribble, shoot, and what the thing with the net is called:). It is amazing after one practice what she can do.

A Look Backwards and A Look Ahead
In all the craziness of the holidays I forgot a lot of things. I meant to blog about our first cavity (cringe). We have worked very hard with keeping clean teeth, flossing, and attending to our dental care as outlined by our dentist. Amidst all of it, we were told that Kennedy had a cavity. She had her first cavity filled Dec 21st and was a champ. Poor kid inherited my small jaw structure and her daddy's risk for cavities (I blame the cavity on him, as I am cavity free:). Jaxon also had his first check up which was over in a matter of minutes.
Another event of 2009 was night potty training. Kennedy was in panties pretty much accident free at 24 months of age. We avoided all attempts to get her or us up at night until about 3 months ago. Jeremy was the lead as I am much like my daughter who needs 8+ hours of sleep . We are night-time potty trained 4 years 4 months. Thanks Daddy!
A look ahead....fun things are starting tonight. Kennedy starts BASKETBALL and will play at the YMCA for the next 2 months. She still loves gymnastics and dance, however, is gearing up for bball and then maybe some T-ball. Can't wait to watch from the bleachers:)

Tattoos
The model of our fake tattoos. Kennedy had a small discussion about real tattoos and seeing real tattoos on people. We took that second to discuss all the negative effects of a tattoo...maybe we scared her a bit :) Jaxon was already making attempts to remove his even though I think he will be my tattoo attempter.

Happy Birthday Daddy
Time to celebrate with Daddy!! The joy of birthdays when you have young children is watching their excitement. Jeremy turned 33 today and all day Kennedy reminded the waitors, her Sunday School teachers, and the whomever would listen that today was "her daddy's birthday!" We did get alot of celebrating and eating in with visits from Granny, PoPo, MaMa, and PaPa. We are blessed to have such an amazing man in our life!

House Framing
January 12, 2011
These pictures are in stages and may be hard to follow. They began working on the upstairs playroom Saturday! It is progressing nicely and quickly. Kennedy is tickled pink and we are very excited about the progress that has been made. The cold front / freeze headed our way will slow things down this next week. We will continue to keep you updated!

Kennedy and Mommy at the front door
I just noticed that Jaxon was still in his PJ's!! We had a very relaxing day last Saturday. We all made a trip to the park, Jeremy pushing Jaxon in the stroller and I running beside Kennedy as she rode her bike 2.5 miles:). We were so proud of her. We had lunch, all napped, and went out to the lot. This was definitely my kind of Saturday.

Schramm-Pachuca Christmas
Yes the title reads Christmas!! We finally got to celebrate with our good friends the Pachucas that we met 10 years ago when we entered the coaching family. We have traveled together, definitely grown "older" together, and now we have kids together. We laughed in the picture below...notice who has the babies.....you can tell these little brothers have big sisters.
