Ramen Noodles

The past week when Kennedy was not feeling well I picked up some Ramen noodles. This has never been a "must have" on the grocery list since college, however, now it has become a fan favorite in our house, even with mommy! Jaxon loves to hold them over his face and drop them in his hair, mouth and floor.

These are pictures that we took in December. I still have them unhung in draw and decided to show them off. Kennedy looks absolutely adorable in her tutu! Her picture with Anabell is one of our favorites. Jaxon gave Anabell to Kennedy when he was born and she is without a doubt her favorite baby.

What a doll!! I do like dressing her up and curling those long blonde locks!!

Are you kidding????

Kennedy has been well for so long that we were due for some kind of illness. Unfortunately, the yuckies began Saturday evening as we walked into the house after brother's party. I should have known she was sick by her more than normal emotional state when she broke down at Jaxon's party about saying the prayer. She had been so excited about praying for brother and had come to me weeks earlier and asked if she could pray for him at his birthday. Turned out we made it through chills, fever, and a doctor's visit when she was diagnosed with hand foot and mouth. Really??? We have already had that....checked that one off the list.

After three days of TLC from parents and grandparents she is well.

My favorite things when I am sick 1) eating ice cream in mommy and daddy's big bath tub whenever I want 2) sleeping with mommy and daddy 3) movie time 4) eating whatever I want because "my tummy hurts and I have fever in there" "I need to throw'd up" "My mouth hurts" Love-Kennedy Grace

Mommy and Daddy's special moments when Kennedy is sick 1) rocking in the recliner to catch up on needed holding time 2) Kennedy falling asleep on our shoulder 3) snuggling up to watch disney 4) eating unhealthy food to make Kennedy feel better:)

Paper is so much fun

Jaxon enjoyed opening his gifts Sunday afternoon. His favorite things were the paper and the cards. He walked around the house with the cards and never opened half the gifts, so Kennedy and Daddy helped. You will see him in some of his new shoes, hats, clothes, and playing with his toys. Thank you to everyone who made his birthday memorable and even more of a blessing.

Yum, Cake

Jaxon has really started to like cake. At his one-year-old pictures he just dabbed his finger in the icing. Then the day of his birthday Jaxon ate the cake head first. He had icing from his head to his toes. The day of the party he was pretty entertaining eating his cake.

I love you Ray!

We had to make a few last minute changes for Jaxon's birthday party in the kid entertainment area. We had planned to have a dinosaur jump house and enjoy the warm weather we had been experiencing. Spring was welcomed Saturday by cold windy weather so we switched to Plan B. There had been no "Plan B" until Friday at 5 pm when I found a balloon artist-face painter duo. It turned out to be a hit with the kids and even the adults.

Let's have some fun, Jaxon is ONE

Saturday was the day for Jaxon's big celebration. Jaxon celebrated with family and friends and had a great time. The best things about this year are twofold, the first one being adding a son to our family and the second best part is watching the bond between Kennedy and Jaxon grow. The true blessings of family are unmatchable.....unconditional love, patience, true generosity, and laughter.

We are getting ready for Jaxon' s first birthday party today! We are all so excited and it is so hard to believe a year has flown by! Party pictures will follow soon!

A Special Ride

Granny and PoPo came to visit this past weekend and we enjoyed a trip to the mall. For our family a trip to mall involves riding the carousel, the elevators, and escalators. The kids enjoyed their time with Granny and PoPo. One of my favorite photos is PoPo and Jaxon smiling at each other, I don't know who had more fun!
