Labor Day

We have been a little "off" this week with Labor Day falling on Monday. It was very nice to hang out an extra day at the house. We did what we enjoy best, spending time outside, firing up the pit, and playing with the kids. Kennedy wanted to swim so we settled for the slip-n-slide. I think Jeremy enjoys it more than she does. He was in his trunks and they both were slipping and sliding. I relish in these times when our kids are young and we can enjoy all the simple things of life.
A nice"moment" this weekend is when I walked in to Jeremy and Kennedy playing baseball and then duck-duck-goose. Kennedy bounced Jaxon on the head "goose" a couple of times and he just laughed and watched her in amazement. This too has been such a blessing to me over the week---to watch the love of family and how Jaxon and Kennedy adore each other. We may not always live in complete harmony, but they will know that family is truly always family.
