What a Night...
I would say that Jeremy and I do pretty well managing life with our family and work. Tuesday night is game night for Jeremy which means that things get a little more exciting at the house. I would prefer to keep the excitement for when we can manage as a team. The exciting night started when I walked into the house to find that Sadie has torn apart her bag of dog food and has scattered it everywhere. Amidst picking that up, putting on Elmo and making sphagetti, poor Jaxon got sick and not many things made him happy except for momma tonight. Eventually everyone got baths, re-packed bags for the next day, and headed to bed. The joys of parenthood......it is still a joy especially to get the smile, big wet kiss, and a "good night mommy!"

Friday Night Game...
We loaded up the car and made it to Brenham on Friday to watch the Bears!! We had a busy Friday, but it was lots of fun. We met up the Gary's, enjoyed some dinner at mom and dad's, and headed to watch the game. After Jaxon was born we have made an exit at half time to keep schedules, however, this Friday Kennedy and I made it until the end--Jaxon got some TLC from MaMa and PaPa. Kennedy got to visit with Granny and PoPo at the game and sat with them to watch the Bears and mommy got some girl time for a bit. We are lucky to have such great grandparents!!!
Kennedy and Cooper
We are making marriage arrangements already:)
Fun Friday
We made it to Build a Bear and the Children's Museum Friday. Kennedy and Brooklyn enjoyed the museum. It was our first time and I was really amazed at all the neat things they had. Thanks to "Uncle" Jason and the Gary's we made it to Build a Bear. Kennedy had a great time and brought home Katie who it now a new addition to the family. Parachute Time
Brooklyn and Kennedy
It's Katie! Kennedy has gotten into naming her babies now. They were all "baby", now she is making up names, some of which don't make much sense like "Gu-Gu"

Going on 61/2 Months.....
Jaxon is growing like a weed. It seems he is growing so much faster than Kennedy, probably because we are now chasing two. He is a sweet baby and a BIG FLIRT! His favorite things are his sister's hair, anything he can chew on, eating, and being held by his mommy and daddy. I did forget about the whole separation anxiety stage. He has been very content until recently when we exit the room and he screams (like a girl) and continuously until someone saves him. NOW I remember!!
We had a doctor visit yesterday when school called about this rash on his neck. The doctor said it was contact dermatitis-translating that something had rubbed him raw or he had come in contact with something. Jeremy and I laugh now, but not of course when you get the call that your kid has an unknown rash. We have concluded that his chin and chest are rubbing together--19 pounds 13 ounces. Lots of little boy to love!
Star of the Week and Scooby Doo
In Kennedy's class at school they "celebrate" a student each week. Kennedy was chosen this week so we decorated a poster board Sunday and took it to school to be hung in the hallway. Her favorite things are:
- Playing with daddy outside
- Jaxon, Mommy
- Granny, PoPo, Ma Ma, Pa Pa
- MacDonald's (she calls it Old MacDonald's-always has:)
- Strawberries, Ice cream, and Cake
-
Very proud of her poster

The Washington County Fair
The JOYS of Great-Grannie
We loaded up the car to head to Brenham for the Washington County Fair. It is a pretty big deal in our hometown and not to mention lots of fun for the kids! Our first stop was to see Great-Grannie. On the way into town, Kennedy says, "Mommy, I get candy at Grannie's, but I won't ask." I just laughed thinking she has already learned what a trip to Grannie's entails--good visiting and sweets. Kennedy lasted a bit, Grannie offered candy, and Kennedy helped herself to two snicker bars and then proceeded to feed Ike (the dog) OREOS upon Grannie's request. We had a good visit. We love seeing Grannie and this is a major downfall to living away.

Sickness
Up until this point we have been illness free with Jaxon, something we are not accustomed to in this household. If there was a germ out there, Kennedy seemed to gravitate towards it. Our pediatrician used to make jokes that there was another little boy in the practice that kept up with Kennedy's sick status and that she would inform us of who he was if they ever dated:)
So.....Jaxon went to the doctor today. He has his first upper respiratory virus, which means we must wait for it to run its course. Needless to say, he batted his eyes, smiled, and attempted to eat the doctor's stethoscope during the exam. We are home now letting him catch up on needed rest and some TLC from mommy. The doctor did say we "have good ears on this one!"

Gymnastics
Every Tuesday at 4:15 we head to gymnastics. Initially, we began gymnastics at 20 months to work on gross motor development. We started out with a "mommy / daddy and me" class and it has progressed from there. Kennedy loves Tuesdays because it means she can put on her pink leotard and play on the bars and trampoline--her favorites. She yells up to the balcony "Hi Mommy, Watch Me!" She also does each station one time and then runs to her teacher--"I'm done."Yes-she has the attention span of a 3-year-old--it is fun to sit back and watch her interact.
When Jaxon was born we took a short break and thought we'd try dance offered during hours at her school. This past year she was in her first recital and pretty much stood on stage in awe and held up her popsicle stick. We are keeping with the gym and dance for now. She loves it all and we love watching her.
