Grant Thomas
"PaPa Photography" took these photos when the boys were 11 days old. He captured some great shots and I love the one of Grant smiling. He has taken all the kids newborn pictures and we are so appreciative. He has a knack for taking pictures and enjoys it. Thought I would share!

Maurer Christmas--Reminiscing
Every year we celebrate with Grandpa Maurer's siblings. Over the years, sadly, our size has dwindled some but what a blessing to still gather together to celebrate together as a family and to celebrate their lives. My kids talk about Grandpa a lot and know him through the stories I have told them. He loved children and one could not have met a better man. I hear songs in church and think of him, eat a bowl of Blue Bell and am reminded of him and in the love of our family I am reminded of him. He would be thrilled to hold these new grand babies and I know one day he will get the chance to again.

First Fish
Yes we live right next Lake Conroe but sadly our crew has never been fishing! Wesley and Uncle Stephen made their day by teaching them a thing or two about fishing. Jaxon got a rod and reel from Wesley and Jamie for Christmas and he was so excited to put it to use! His smile tells it all!!

Cousin Fun
Jan 14th--A Day for the Record Books
Leave it up to this boy to lose his 1st tooth with a great story to be told! We went to our routine dentist appointment and afterward the dentist called me back to discuss Jaxon's appointment which is rare because he has great teeth and our meetings are few and far between with him. His first question was , "Has he fallen?" The boys falls all the time...he goes head first down the driveway on the scooter (with a helmet) for crying out loud. Dr. Brad proceeded to show me a small area a the base of gum indicating their was an infection. Upon further diagnostics it was determined that we needed to pull his baby tooth to protect his permanent tooth. From there I loaded up all four kiddos and drove to the pharmacy to fill a script for Valium and took Kennedy to school.
When we return to the dentist office, Jaxon walks on back to get his tooth pulled no tears and ended up needing no other sedative! He was estatic and after this visit has decided to be a dentist. He got two visits from the tooth fairy and has not stopped talking about it ever since. Hopefully the other teeth will come out without any big stories to tell!!

Happy Birthday Daddy
Compliments of Kennedy and cousin Jamie Thank goodness she was here! |
And Birthday Cake....Again Compliments of Kennedy, Jaxon and Jamie |
Another candle on the cake for this guy...marking 36! We are so incredibly blessed to have him in our lives. He is the dad that does it all--plays outside, does homework, reads bedtime stories. You name it he does it! He is the husband that grocery shops, helps around the house and puts up with me. He loves us unconditionally and has taken four kids in stride (the twins didn't make the cake and candles). We wish you many more and can't imagine our lives without you.

We enjoyed our school break too much....lazy days, PJ's, time as a family and lots of outside time. This week was back to the grind and a schedule. We are now counting down the days until MLK and Spring Break!
