Should have waited on the baths.....

This are pictures from last week. We normally do baths after dinner and the pictures below just reinforce why we should continue to do that. I got home one day early this week and thought I 'd give the kids a bath and then we could all just play in the living room the rest of the evening.

Both of the kid eating Jaxon's cookies. Kennedy has wanted to eat like brother lately...hopefully she means she the meals, not the mess.

Going on Day Four.....

Poor Jaxon, this has been a long week for all of us. He has been fighting what seems to be a minor ear infection and a virus on top of that. Yesterday his fever reached 104.3!! The doctor mentioned he may have had the flu, but his swab came back negative and his white blood cell count was really elevated lending to the result that he has a virus. I don't know about you other momma's, but I would rather hear anything that virus because that means waiting it out. We have pieced together a crew between me, mom helping out two days (thank you mom...you're a blessing), and daddy staying home the majoirty of the day tomorrow until we can switch out again. The events of illness.......
He has been cuddly which is nice to feel so "needed.
Would you check out that face?

Some TLC..

Jaxon has officially been sick for the first time.....that seems so awkard to type being that we had a routine visit to the doctor with Kennedy every 2 weeks for a virus or ear infection. He became fussy last night and ended up running 102 temp, so we packed up to see Dr. Froelich today. She gave him some antibotics and hopefully he will be feeling better soon. We called MaMa to take care of him tomorrow to allow some more down time at home. He acted so pitiful with mommy, but mustered up some smiles and flirtation for the baby in the waiting room and the doctor.

Kennedy

We have loved every age thus far..you hear people say I loved three or wait for terrible two's! Each change has not always been so easy, but nothing too hard that I would say we couldn't wait for it to pass. However, three has been so much fun. Kennedy is a firecracker--she doesn't miss a thing. She is at the age of loving to play pretend and has these pretty lengthy conversations that can keep you smiling for days! Kennedy's personality continues to blossom and we can't get enough of her!
Notice the purple gloves--my therapy gloves! They seemed to pop up all weekend long!

Sunday she entertained us in the garage since it was raining. Dancing to Christmas music with the gloves on her feet!!! Don't ask she had them on before we could even blink!

What a great Daddy....We are blessed to have such a wonderful man in our lives. Kennedy is at Jeremy's hip and follows him wherever he goes. Sunday she found her princess tent and asked Daddy to put it up in her room. He didn't even bat an eye....she is asleep in her pink tent in her room.

Jaxon

Jaxon is almost 7 months. He is so very sweet. He is on the go now and we need to start getting some boy toys. This weeknd he had a field day with Kennedy's toys.
Not the best picture..but he learned to stick out his tongue and does it constantly now..new found fun!

And where off.....Jaxon started crawling this weekend!!! With crawling he of course found access to sister's toys. I came into the living room to find Kennedy with little baggies putting up her toys and placing them into the basket you see below. She said "I am putting up my toys so brother can't get them!" A new world has begun for the both of them.....:)

Cool Kid

Check out that face! This was after we took away the magazine he was eating below! He does not to have things taken away...imagine that.

What fun! I want this house mommy! Really I just want to eat this paper again! I can see the resemblance here of Kennedy and Jaxon.

Trip to Texas Children's Hospital

No worries a trip to TCH sounds scarier than what it really was. Kennedy was diagnosed with (urinary) vesicoureteral reflux last July which means that upon voiding some urine would back up to her ureters and possibly to her kidneys instead of making the normal exit. So...what this means is she had a UTI and because she had it around age of two they took some cultures and did a voiding cystourethogram. Last year we did it without a sedative and somehow I forgot I was pregnant with Jaxon and could not be with Kennedy during the procedure. This year Jeremy and I went together, Kennedy got a sedative to ease everything during the catheterization, and had a big ice cream to make it better afterwards. The nurse bragged on her until afterwards.....:) she said most kids are either really happy or tired from the sedative....Kennedy was outright mad and quite combative I might say. The poor parents walking in probably thought it might have been better to forget the sedative. She did return back to her normal sweet self after a nap home and ice cream. The test results were positive and her reflux is now gone----so no more daily antibotics for another year!!
This makes it all better

Looking a little drugged from the meds and about to loose that ice cream!
