Kennedy Grace

Kennedy will start TK-Transitional Kindergarten in one month and she is so excited.  She is a chatter box and a social little thing! She doesn't talk to just anyone but when she knows you and gets to know you she loves you!  She has enjoyed the summer home with daddy and he just took her and Jaxon to see Cars.  She has always loved her role as the "big sister" but lately she has turned into Jaxon's other momma trying to hold and comfort him when he gets upset and she loves telling him what to do (only a little:)).  She is thrilled to be getting her big girl bed soon along with her new house and she is so excited to be 5 because when your 5 you can do everything!!

You'd Never Know

You would never know that Jaxon has a bed because our little guy sleeps on a comforter on the floor. After he figured out how to climb out of his crib we made his bed into a toddler bed. Well, lets just say he is not fond of it and has slept on a comforter for a month now. Jeremy and I have discussed how to resolve this, but at the moment he is happy so we will wait to solve this issue. 

Jaxon has changed so much over the past couple of months. I remember the milestones with Kennedy and they are fun to "relive" with Jaxon but they are still a different experience. Jaxon is potty training and fairly successful if he could just get mommy and daddy to stay consistent. He has even done other business in the potty too...today:) and he was proud of himself!  He still loves balls, hats, trucks, and baby dolls. The baby doll liking is because he plays house with Kennedy and it is so funny to hear them converse about who is the mommy, daddy, and who gets to push the babies in the stroller. His other new thing is we ask him, "Are you Momma's Baby....Daddy's Baby, ...etc the list goes on and he smiles with each question and says "yep!"

Happy birthday to the most amazing woman I know! I hope your day is filled with love, laughter, and all the things that make you happy. My mom has always been there for me and as a mom now I acknowledge all her sacrifices and thankful to have her as a role model. We love you!

Die for those LASHES

What a day Saturday was! It was a tear-jerker and took me awhile to accept completely. I watched Megan Hafner literally grow up. I fed her snacks in the Silver Wings snack bar, baby sat her, cheered her on in cross country meets, and now was able to watch her wed the man of her dreams.  If you could see Megan and John together it is pretty amazing.....incredible people centered in God and in love:). They had a beautiful wedding with much celebration and we were so happy to share in their special day. Wishing much happiness to this amazing couple!

Another thing to note is this past summer we have attended at least 4 weddings. All girls have the dream of their wedding day and their dress. I don't remember my fascinations as a little girl, however, I have taken note with Kennedy. At each wedding she has followed the bride and stopped to tell her how pretty she looks in her wedding dress. Kennedy still says she is marrying Jaxon and Sadie (our dog) will be in the wedding and she does talk about her white dress:).

This weekend was full of birthdays! Saturday we celebrated with Brooklyn and Sunday with Sophia. Sleeping Beauty came to Brooklyn's party and all the kids had so much fun playing games and the girls enjoyed the make-up applied by Sleeping Beauty herself! Let me just say that Kennedy has her 6th birthday planned:).  Sunday we enjoyed pizza and fun with Sophia and it was a nice end to the weekend.  We enjoyed all the fun and are ready for just a little break.

Last week we had a special visit from Uncle Jimmie and Aunt Barbara. They came for dinner and to see the house progress. It was such a nice visit and we are blessed with amazing family.  Granite and tile start Monday and the driving way is being poured as we speak.  Sorry to bore anyone, but this is our life right now!
