Thank You For Our Freedom

What a sweet reminder of the many freedoms we have......the right to attend a parade, raise a family based on individual beliefs, govern not be governed (completely:)), worship our Lord freely, and the list goes on.  We can never say thank you enough to those that fight for our freedoms. I remember years ago being in the airport with Taryn and John, when a solider was seated next to us in the restaurant. John got up and went over of his own free will to tell the man thank you for what he does, what he stands for, and he wanted him to know that there are those that are thankful..........we are thankful.

The Frosty Factory

We had so much fun on our little get away. We enjoyed 3 nights of adult conversation, floating the lazy rivers for hours, shopping, and a little golf and shopping.  We are thankful for our children and enjoy our time together too (thanks mom and dad for keeping the kiddos). 

We are so thankful for these Shawn and Beth.....I think another tradition has been starting. This is our 2nd summer trip to Louisiana and we are already talking about next year!

These are a couple of pictures of our kitchen base cabinets. We are using a medium color stain, mission oak, and our upper cabinets and island will be a bisque color with a chocolate glaze. Keep your fingers crossed for July!

Sweet ending to a fun weekend......we celebrated in the marriage of Ann and Randy.  They were high school sweethearts and have found true love again. It was a very nice way to end the weekend.
