The Beach

Bye-Bye Galveston, we will return in one week with MaMa, PaPa, and family!

Rain Forest Cafe

Mason celebrating his 5th birthday a 2nd time:)

Ironically, Kennedy picked the frog for her build-a bear.
When we came 2 years ago with my parents she was so fearful of the man dressed in the frog
suit at the resturant that we had to ask him to kindly skip our table for greetings.

Galveston Trip # 1

The Best Friends in the Entire World

We finally picked a date and made a trip to the island with my college roommates and best friends of 11 years.  We talk weekly, however, it was nice to sit and be together beyond a birthday party or a phone conversation and catch up. Yes, we the adults were outnumbered 8 to 6 :) but everyone did fantastic. I can say, no matter the situation, these friends would be by our side in a heartbeat if needed. God brought us together many years ago and I have never  stopped thanking him!

A Little Odd

Maybe this doesn't seem so odd to you......I just have to laugh!! This past week we have had a lot going on with vacation, building the house, and OH YES, Jaxon moved to his toddler bed. Kennedy was climbing out of her crib at 18 months and Jaxon, well, he has been content in the comfort of his crib.  Jeremy called me this past week one morning in shock. He said he heard a door knob turn, rolled over in bed, and saw Jaxon standing there with his sippy cup and blankie in hand at our bed, "Hi Daddy!!"  Did I mention the big smile that appeared on his face and how proud he was of himself?  Later that day, Jeremy and the kids were playing and he asked Jaxon for the second time how he got out of his bed. Kennedy replies, "Well, Daddy, I think he climbed from the crib to the chair" and in detail she offered every step of his escape. When questioned a little further, it appeared that one day when they were playing Kennedy was climbing in and out of his crib and so he followed:) (this was the point of superb parental supervision).

So...we have transitioned him to his toddler bed which has been complete with a lot of stern returns to bed.  Jeremy and I caught him sleeping on the floor late one night. We are not sure if he fell out of bed or just liked the open space of the floor!!  Gotta love that boy!
