Easter 2010, Part I

Our Easter will be delivered in parts over the week..it was fast, fun and very blessed. It is nice having all of our family within one hour driving distance since we travel it so often. Easter would be one such occasion that we get to see everyone during the weekend. We began Sunday morning going to church to celebrate the one spoken blessing of Easter and that is our risen Saviour! We also got to top it off with the celebration of Granny's b-day.

After church I got some shots of the kids....attempted some together.....and got no family picture. Everytime I look at Jaxon's "enthusiastic" face I have to laugh. I guess he just got tired of sister pulling him around as usual and was ready to run in just his diaper.

Don't worry I will make him look

Happy Birthday to One Special Lady

Not only did we celebrate Easter on Sunday with family, we also celebrated Granny's 60th birthday! We enjoyed church and dinner in Brenham with our special lady. Happy Birthday Granny, we love you!

Dyeing Eggs

As a little girl I remember dying eggs at my parents and great-grannie's around Easter time. To carry on with tradition I picked up some dye and we decorated eggs. Needless to say, Kennedy had lots of fun and it brought back great memories. However, I don't remember the dye staining.....the things that you don't pay attention to as a child!

I Got Your Eggs

I got your eggs!!! Kennedy's happy dance before endulging in her first egg

Friday the Easter bunny made a special phone call to Kennedy and then was so kind to stop by the house and deliver some eggs to our front yard. Kennedy asked Mr. Easter Bunny 1) if she could seen him 2) if he was making candy and that 3) Jesus died on the cross on Easter.

Good Friday Indeed

Jaxon made the most of playing with the few eggs sister left him. He has had his share of egg hunts this week. This makes number two and we have two more over the weekend. Thank you Lord for our many blessings and for forgiving our many transgressions....we have an awesome God!

The Annual Pachuca-Schramm Crawfish Boil

We are holding strong with our new tradition of having a crawfish boil the weekend before easter with our great friends Chris, Lana, Abby, and AJ! Last year at the festivities the kids loved it and I have to admit we loved it too! The girls played hard outside and paid even more attention to the crawfish in Jeremy's cooler. Jaxon was of course more involved this year... he did not just occupy his infant swing. Keeping him out of everything was the biggest work out! We plan to keep up the tradition and will be even happier when the Pachucas get to move this direction!
