Polar Express
We are planning to take the train ride "Polar Express" next week with the Maurer crew and decided to pick the movie up today. Kennedy was thrilled! Poor deprived child has only watched about 5 movies in her little lifetime. I was uncertain if she would sit through the whole movie or get the concept, but she did both. When the little boy looked up and said, "I believe" we looked over to her and she had the biggest grin on her face. She is eager for the train ride and to see Santa. We saw him this weekend for short period at a Christmas program and made it about 3 feet from him in which she yelled out, "Hey Santa!" We got in the car and she says, "Momma next time I see him I will give him a big hug!" Fingers crossed...we have a couple more interactions with him and she still has to prepare her letter to take to him this week. The joys of parenthood and this time of year:).

9 months Old
Jaxon turned 9 months this past week! He had is 9 month appointment and is 75-90% for height and head circumference, and 25-50% for weight. He is matching Kennedy exactly when she was little with the exception of weight. He is not been feeling so well and is on the move so that attributed the weight loss to that, but we are going in for weight check in 6 weeks.
Jaxon is starting to develop quite a personality....his smile is infectous and he is so sweet. He is starting to go through a little separation anxiety--open arms to mommy, daddy, his teachers, and grandparents....however put mommy and daddy in a room and he lifts his arm pathetically and moans until we sweep him up in which he turns off the pathetic little show.

Happy Birthday Grannie
This past Monday the family got together to celebrate Grannie's 78th birthday!! She was happy to have most of us (we missed those not there:)) and it was a blessing to be with her. She is an amazing women and this is one misfortune of not living closer to "home"....being able to visit with Grannie, enjoy a cup a coffee at the kitchen table, talk about Grandpa and his love of family, and just being able to receive a daily hug from the woman that used to scratch my back as I lay on a pallet beside her bed. So for all of these reasons we packed up the car and headed for a short visit to Brenham....

Happy Birthday Jesus
We got our tree up last Wednesday. Yes..that is early! We normally wait until Thanksgiving, but we were both off and the kids were at school so we got busy decorating. Kennedy put the finishing touches on the tree with her ornaments. We have had our tree for 3 years now...we got it through a friend and ended up meeting someone at an IHOP in Houston paying the guy only cash as he requested etc. etc. It sounds similiar to our New York buy your knock off LV purse in the basement in "twenty minutes"-ask Jeremy he tells the story great. Anyways, the tree is up and we are really working hard to teach the kids the true meaning of Christmas. If you ask Kennedy now, she says it is Jesus's birthday and sings to him. She is constantly rearranging the nativity scene to protect Jesus, the wise men, or the shepherds.

The Herman's
We met us with some friends Saturday that we hadn't seen in a long time outside of work. It was nice to watch the kids play together and to just hang out. They are all growing up and growing up together which is fun to reflect on. Kennedy loves Jordan and Trey
He is not a baby anymore, but Kennedy still calls him that
Crack the Egg, Jordan hanging on for the ride
